ALPA Info Meeting - Oct 2
September 28, 2024,
Fellow Porter Pilots,
By now, hopefully, most of you have heard from us about our ongoing exploration in representation by the Air Line Pilots Association, Int’l (ALPA). Our organizing committee (Porter Pilots for Change) has been working hard to contact as many pilots as possible to gauge your interest in proceeding down this path officially.
Please join us for an all-pilot informational call on Wednesday, October 2, at 3:00 p.m. EDT.
Note: The link may ask you to download the app, but you have the option to use your browser.
For our Ottawa-based pilots, please consider joining the call in person at:
Sheraton Ottawa Hotel
150 Albert Street
Ottawa, ON K1P 5G2
We will also post the meeting link on our Porter Pilots for Change website.
You’ll be hearing from our organizing committee and we’ve invited from ALPA:
ALPA’s president, Capt. Jason Ambrosi (DAL)
ALPA Canada president, Capt. Tim Perry (WJA)
Pilot group leaders from ALPA-represented Canadian carriers
ALPA staff, who are subject-matter experts
After opening remarks, we will open the floor to questions from Porter pilots. This is your opportunity to learn more about ALPA representation and get answers to any questions you might have.
We hope you take advantage of this opportunity to hear directly from ALPA’s top leaders — and how representation by ALPA will maintain and further develop the strong relationship that exists between our pilot group and the company.
If you are unable to attend the meeting (either virtually or in-person) we invite you to submit your questions to porterpilotsforchange@gmail.com. We will certainly be happy to present your questions as we continue to discuss whether this is the right direction for Porter pilots and Porter itself.
In unity,
Porter Pilots For Change Organizing Committee
